As if being in court isn't traumatic enough, now the Liverpool Echo publish the names of those who have appeared before the magistrates! What is this all about? Drink drivers, shoplifters, disorderly behaviour, those caught in possession of drugs and even street walkers are named in the Liverpool Echo every Saturday, without any consideration for the circumstances that led the offenders there in the first place. Isn't the shame of being in court sufficient misery for the offenders and their families, without perpetuating their pain by publishing their names in the paper each week? The Liverpool Echo is an integral part of Liverpool life; it is an institution and part of our Scouse heritage. Is this all it has to write about?
I know this blog has nothing whatsoever to do with the paranormal, but so what? Somebody has to say something, don't they?
