I have turned the Magic Locker into a children's musical theatre, and this will be staged on The Liverpool Empire for one week, beginning on 14th September 2009.

   I am pleased to announce that Liverpool's own celebrity hairdresser, Herbert Howe, has agreed to play the main character, THE SLEEPY TIME KEEPER, an eccentric, clown-like character with red spiky hair and dressed in a rainbow coloured suit.

The book is on sale in all good book shops.  The show was originally scheduled for February and was to be produced by Cut To The Chase.  I am no longer associated with Jen Heyes and Cut To The Chase.  The show will now be produced by David Lea of Pantoni.

The book is a collection of stories in which I have either been involved over the last 27 years of working as a medium, or which have been researched by me.  As I have previously said in my blog, my very first collection of Spooky Stories was published in the 1970s, and these will be republished next year.

   I do find it quite hilarious when I receive emails from devotees of Tom Slemen (or from Tom Slemen himself) either complaining that I am 'jumping on the bandwagon' or simply saying that his books are much better!  I have always had the greatest respect for Tom, and wonder why he would object to anyone writing about haunted or ghostly locations.  I am too long in the tooth, so to speak, to worry about any criticism.  After all, there's plenty of room for such books and, contrary to popular belief, Tom Slemen does NOT have the monopoly on books of ghostly stories.  So, please Tom, stop emailing, we all know it's you!

Although the Fraudulent Mediums Act has at long last been repealed, it has been replaced by a new Consumer Law, imposing great restrictions upon the way clairvoyants, psychics and mediums work.  This Consumer Law makes prophesying the future illegal, and any clairvoyant who makes a prediction for someone that does not come true, may be sued.  In fact, in America, for many years, clairvoyants and psychics have been sued for damages by their clients, simply because a prediction that he or she made did not come true!  

  This can only be a good thing, and will certainly put all charlatan psychics on their guard.
