The Magic Locker is the story of a chronically ill seven year old boy who spends most of his life in Alder Hey Hospital, some time in the mid-fifties. Then, one day, a cartoon-like creature by the name of The Sleepy Time Keeper, takes him into the locker beside his bed, and then into a surreal world called Heswobble, peopled by crazy characters and animals that talk. The Sleepy Time Keeper takes the little boy to Oggleboggle Farm to meet Farmer Mary, who allows him to fly over Wibble on a beautiful Unicorn called Esmeralda. And then....

I have turned the Magic Locker into a children's musical theatre production, and Jen Heyes from Cut To The Chase Productions will be directing and presenting it at The Liverpool Empire for one week, beginning on February 17th 2009. Tickets will be on sale from the beginning of June.
Part of the proceeds from both the book and the stage show will be donated to Alder Hey's IMAGINE APPEAL.
