SEEING IS BELIEVING - OR IS IT?

People frequently say to me 'I saw a ghost once...' to which I always politely reply, 'That's interesting!' The majority of people wrongly think that their ghostly encounters are unique, and although it may have been a 'one off' experience for them, seeing ghostly apparitions is far more common than one might imagine. Ghostly appearances can be so fleeting though that with the passage of time the one who has had the experience is frequently left wondering if he or she actually saw anything at all! The mind is an extremely complex system and one that very often has difficulty processing images that are nebulous and vague, and which therefore do not appear real, as in the case of a 'Ghostly' manifestation. The minds of those who believe in such paranormal occurrences as ghosts will always 'see' something in nothing, whilst the sceptic is perhaps far more analytical, and to them 'seeing is truly believing' - or is it? Retrospective analysis is the psychological process of looking back on an event that has caught our interest. When we do this the mind frequently changes the experience we have had, making it into something more tangible and interesting. Sceptics don't seem to have that problem, but they are, however, frequently left wondering!
When anyone is informed that they are being taken to a so-called 'Haunted' location, long before they actually arrive at their destination, their mind will have created its own ghosts and demons, and a self-induced hallucination will occur. And in the same situation, a sceptic too would be left wondering!

I HEAR WHAT YOU'RE THINKING!

It is believed that before man evolved even the most rudimentary form of speech, our primitive forebears communicated their thoughts and feelings telepathically. In fact, nineteenth century writer and mystic, Maurice Maeterlink, once said, 'We only developed speech so that we could tell lies!' Whether the latter statement is true or not, the fact is, the gift of mediumship is based on telepathy - mind to mind communication, a two-way process between a discarnate and an incarnate mind. When a person has always had a close and very telepathic relationship with his or her partner, and you have always known what each other is thinking, that telepathic relationship does not cease at death. On the contrary, it should become more profound, and much clearer. Mind to mind communication persists after the death of your loved one, and the ability to hear his or her thoughts should become much easier, rather like listening to your favourite programme on a finely-tuned radio. When you suddenly 'think' of your deceased partner whilst going about your daily chores, stop and listen to what is coming into your mind. The thoughts flashing through your mind may not be your own, but may well be your partner's thoughts, as he or she endeavours to continue what they did when they were alive - talk telepathically to you!

As long as you behave yourself, and do as you are told.
'Don't wish your life away!' my mum would always say, 'You'll be as old as me one day!'

I just want to be eighteen, and not seven years old; then perhaps I won't have to do everything I'm told!
'Eat your tea, go to bed, and do as you are told!' WHY? Because I'm seven years old!

Don't want to be in hospital, I want to be at home!
Don't like taking medicine - just leave me alone!
I want to be grown up, so I don't have to do as I'm told - and then, I won't be seven years old!

Why is life so difficult, when you're seven years old?
Why do I always have to do everything I am told?
Why doesn't anyone ever listen to me? WHY - because I'm just seven years old!

IF THE MOTIVE IS RIGHT, THEN YOU'VE NOTHING TO FEAR!

According to ancient Eastern Spiritual Laws, regardless of how kind or well-meaning an action is, if the motive behind the action is for the wrong reason, then the effect of the action will not last! In other words, whenever we do something with a selfish,vindictive motive, we must always be prepared to take the consequences of our actions. Curses and Blessing come home to roost!
Even if your best efforts to help others fail, as long as the motive behind your efforts was sincere and for the right reason, then the person you endeavoured to help will eventually feel some joy.

No matter what you do, or for whatever the reason you do it, there is always someone who will enjoy making an anonymous, snide and cowardly remark about you, designed primarily to hurt.

I once knew a writer who delighted in using different email addresses to criticise another writer's work, and also to hurt him. However, one day the perpetrator of the assaults found his computer had developed a virus, and the nasty assaults suddenly stopped! He realised that the computer's virus had simply come from his own mind.

TO POOPER SCOOPER OR NOT TO POOPER SCOOPER

Although I grew up with dogs, and even in my adult life have always had a furry creature around the house, I fully understood when the law was finally introduced forcing dog owners to use a pooper scooper when taking their family canine for its daily constitutional. At least this kept our pavements free of that fowl smelling stuff we've all trodden in at some time in our lives. But what about horse excrement? Have you ever driven through it, never mind trodden in it? I have, and believe me, it makes a mess of your tyres, and it stinks! What I would like to know is why the same law does not apply to horse owners, and why they don't have to dismount to scoop up the mound of excrement left in a huge heap in the middle of the road. When I was a child horse manure was always quickly collected by gardeners or allotment owners, who always proudly announced it was this that helped their potatoes grow so beautifully. I live in a farming community, where horse riders are as plentiful as cyclists,(God bless them,) so what I would like to know is why horse manure is no longer collected by avid gardeners, and why it is left on the narrow roads until completely flattened by either my car, or someone's four-wheel drive? When I was a child horse manure was dry and flakey, but now, because of what horses are fed, it's no different to dog excrement. What's this all about?

Should you be wondering what this has got to do with the paranormal - absolutely nothing! I'm just taking advantage of my blog to have a whinge! You should have seen the state of my tyres!
