PLEASE DON'T EAT ME I'M A FRIEND

Posted by Billy Roberts on April 22, 2007 2:53 PM

Having been a non-meat eater since I was 14, I've always found it quite interesting that the majority of meat eaters could not slaughter an animal themselves, and yet salivate at the thought of a juicy steak or a succulent piece of roast lamb on their plate. Meat eaters don't mind someone else slaughtering these creatures for their Sunday feast, as long as they don't have to perform the gruesome act themselves. I find it quite funny that people who eat meat don't seem to associate the creatures in the field with what is served to them on their plate in the restaurant. Even the milk you drink comes to you at a bigger price than the 35p you have paid for it in the SuperMarket. Yes! The calves are cruelly taken away from their mothers to be slaughtered for veal, so that the cow can then carry on producing milk for your consumption.

What about all the chemicals used to treat cows and sheep? Antibiotics and steriods to fatten them and to eliminate any unwanted bacteria. Do you really know what you are eating? Do you care what you are eating? Whoops! Sorry! So, you only eat organic meat? That's ok then, they are slaughtered in a different, more hygienic way!
What did you say? You don't eat meat, you only eat white chicken? That's ok! Chcken is not meat, is it?
How can you eat anything with a face? 'It doesn't smile anyway!' responded the meat eater.

That's alright then!
The Buddhists teach that we can be re-born into the body of an animal, and that all animals are our ancestors, our friends. Be careful next time you tuck into that beef burger, you just might be eating the remnants of a friend!

MORAL: HOW CAN YOU STROKE AN ANIMAL WITH ONE HAND, AND THEN PICK ITS BONES WITH THE OTHER?

THAT FRAGRANCE REMINDS ME...

Posted by Billy Roberts on April 19, 2007 1:46 PM

How many times has a certain fragrance brought childhood memories flooding back into your mind? Or perhaps the sun shining through the window has suddenly made you remember a deceased friend or family member? Retrospective Analysis is a psychological phenomenon we all experience from time to time, and a process we usually dismiss as sentimental nostalgia.
Losing someone we love is painful enough, but coming to terms with the fact that they will never be walking through the door ever again is even worse.
Although he or she may have physically gone from your life, they do still live on in another sphere, not very far from where you are now. Although you cannot see them, they can see you, and will do everything in their power to reassure and comfort you. There is no need to visit a medium, for when a certain fragrance reminds you of the person you have lost; when that ray of sunshine through your sitting room window, brings back memories of the happier times you had together - it is because he or she is there, and is using every way possible to find a way into your mind and let you know they are still very much alive. They are happy, and are only saddened by the tears they see you cry.

OUR LOVED ONES DO NOT DIE, THEY SIMPLY MOVE TO A DIFFERENT PLACE IN OUR HEARTS.

NOT ALL MEDIUMS ARE CLAIRVOYANT

Posted by Billy Roberts on April 15, 2007 11:32 AM

You would be forgiven for believing that all mediums can 'see' the so-called 'dead'. This is perhaps one of the greatest misconceptions where mediums and psychics are concerned. Although the majority of mediums frequently say 'I can see a gentlemen/lady..' whichever the case may be, he or she very often only senses the spirit presence. The mediumistic clairvoyant skill is comparatively rare. In fact, the majority of mediums are 'Clairsentient' - that is possessing the ability to 'sense' a spirit presence. This 'sensing' however, can be extremely specific, and through this skill a medium is very often able to give a detailed description of a spirit person, and may even give his or her name and also say how they died.
The three mediumistic skills are: CLAIRSENTIENCE, CLAIRVOYANCE AND CLAIRAUDIENCE.
Clairaudience is the ability to 'hear' , the Clairvoyance the ability to 'see' and Clairsentience the ability to 'sense.'

Not all mediums are clairvoyant, and you would be mistaken to think that all clairvoyants are mediums - they are not! Because a person can tell you about your future, and perhaps glean all sorts of information from a personal artefact, such as a ring or watch etc; does not mean that he or she has the ability to communicate with the so-called 'dead.' When you are seeking a medium to consult always go on recommendation, and avoid the claims made by some in the CLAIRVOYANT COLUMN of the newspaper, such as 'I CAN CONTACT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THE WORLD OF SPIRIT.' No medium can guarantee results, regardless of whether they claim to be the UK's most evidential medium.
Also, it is unwise, as well as extremely unhealthy to live your life by what psychics and mediums tell you. If you have very recently been bereaved, then I would suggest you allow the healing process to take place before you even consider consulting a medium. If not, there is always the chance that you will hear what you want to hear, and also inadvertently tell the medium what you want him or her to tell you. This defeats the object and will only deepen your pain. In saying this, however, the majority of mediums do work to a moral code; nonetheless, you still need to take care.

GOD EXISTS - IT'S A SCIENTIFIC FACT

Posted by Billy Roberts on April 15, 2007 11:14 AM

Scientists now claim to have discovered the module in the brain where God exists. Crazy, but this is true. Extensive studies into spiritual and mystical experiences have led scientists to conclude that certain people are more susceptible to psychic experiences than others. One example is those who suffer from frontal lobe epilepsy are more likely to have psychic or mystical experiences than those who do not suffer from this very distressing disorder. In fact, there is some evidence to suggest that Saint Paul suffered from frontal lobe epilepsy, and this was the primary cause of the 'Blinding Light' he experienced on the road to Damascus. Others who allegedly suffered from the disease were Moses and even Jesus himself.

THE ABANDONED ORCHARD

Posted by Billy Roberts on April 4, 2007 12:35 PM

The orchard had been abandoned,
But the apples did not know.
Each year as the seasons changed
On their branches they would show.
Each year the apples would wither,
They could not quite understand,
Why their rosy smile was not greeted
By an eager, clutching hand.
Then one year the apples appeared,
With sadness they all cried,
They could see no point in going on,
So the abandoned orchard died.

What is the purpose of life if nobody even knows we exist?
