THE HEALING PAW
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 30, 2007 12:39 PM
Did you ever consider that the reason your headache was suddenly eased was down to your cat or dog. Have you ever noticed the way your pet dog or cat gravitates to your back when you're in pain? Our pets have a sense of things, and can tell exactly when you are not well, or even unhappy. It is now a scientific fact that dogs and cats are able to measure molecular changes in the atmosphere, and this is why they know exactly when all is not well with you.
The Elizabethans used cat fur to cover their beds, with the belief that there were properties in the fur that could ease the pain of arthritis or gout. Did you know that when you are depressed, if you gently take hold of your cat's ear between your thumb and index finger, not only will it relax your cat, but it will also relax you when you are tense or anxious?
P.A.T Dogs (Pets As Therapy) are today used as visitors for the elderly and infirm to encourage them out of the pits of depression, or even aid their recovery from illness.
Animals can heal! This is a fact. Have you ever noticed how your cat will constantly gravitate towards someone who does not like cats? They can sense it, and will make every attempt to convert the disliker.
A pat a day not only keeps the vet away, but it also keeps the doctor away. You have a healer in your home. A house without a pet is just a house.
Here's another scientific fact: Children brought up without a pet are far more stressed and often aggressive in later life, than are children brought up around animals.
Remember, NOT ALL ANGELS HAVE WINGS
LYCRA CLAD ROAD HOGS!
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 28, 2007 1:49 PM
I am all for exercise to help us keep fit, and have nothing really against the odd cyclist cycling leisurely down a country lane. But, the lycra glad fanatics with their oddly shaped crash helmets, riding two and sometimes three a breast, and simply refusing to move over to allow traffic to pass by, absolutely DO MY HEAD IN!
If cyclists are going to continue to use the road the way they do, then why can't they pay a small road tax contribution? And what about insurance? If I accidentally knock them off their bike my insurance covers the cost. But what if they knock somebody over who pays the compensation then?
Also, can a cyclist be arrested for being drunk in charge of a cycle? Do they get banned with three penality points on their license? Whoops! I forgot, they don't have a license. Perhaps that should be a consideration?
CRYSTAL POWER
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 26, 2007 10:47 PM
Did you know that the ancient Egyptians used to use crystals to treat all sorts of diseases? They used to grind crystals down into a powder and administer the gritty substance to the sick patient. NOT RECOMMENDED. However, crystals are good to carry with you, or even to have around the home.
Knowing which crystals to use though is nearly always a problem. They all look so nice, so which stones should you use?
Carry a piece of Rose Quartz in your handbag if you are emotionally insecure, recovering from a broken relationship, suffering from bereavement or simply unhappy. Or just have a few pieces of Rose Quartz around the home to 'lighten' the emotional atmosphere.
Carry A piece of Amethyst - the Spiritual Stone - if you need that extra lift when you are feeling out of sorts or simply feeling under the weather. Amethyst affects the mind, the soul and body and encourages recovery from illness.
Clear Quartz is an enhancer of energy, and will give you that boost when you just can't get things together. Place a few pieces of clear quartz around a cheep bottle of wine for an hour or two to give it a boost. Carry some quartz pieces with you to give you a lift when you are feeling lethargic. The cloudy quartz is the female, and the clear quartz is usually thought of as the male. Try it, you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Crystals heal the body as well as the mind.
YOUR GHOSTLY STORIES
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 26, 2007 10:38 PM
It is always interesting to receive the ghostly experiences of other people. That's where you come in. I want you to let me know if you have had any 'spooky' experiences, or if you live in a house with ghostly goings on. Are you or have you been a pub landlord in a pub that was haunted? Have you had any spooky experiences? I need to hear your stories to be included in a new book. Just let me know the gist of your story and I will contact you for the rest of it.
Let me know what's been going on in your house. Or, do you have a spirit following you around?
LET ME KNOW. IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?
MUSIC AND SLEEP
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 23, 2007 12:01 PM
Even though we humans have taken millions of years to evolve, music has always been woven into the lives of virtually every culture across the planet. Scientific research has in fact concluded that music is an ingegral part of our biological make-up and is encoded in our genes as a part of what makes us human. Further research into the effects of music on the brain has found it is just as effective as meditation for relaxing the body and calming the central nervous system.
Listening to relaxing music produces theta brainwaves that are similar to those in deep relaxation and stage 1 of sleep. Music can also evoke personal memories of pleasure and may even awaken past life memories within the DNA, helping you to recall experiences of other lives.
KNOWING WHEN TO KEEP YOUR GOB SHUT!

Plato said: 'The fool speaks because he wants to talk: the wise man speaks because he has something to say.'
'Last night I had a dream that I was a butterfly: Or, was I a butterfly dreaming that I was me?'
'Only when the lips are still shall the soul arise to set forth on its labours.'
'It is not enough that you possess truth, it is important that the truth should possess you.'
'Have the blind nought but their eyes with which to distingiush those who love them, from those who love them not?'
'The only gift which should always be returned is LOVE.'

WHEN SHE WAS TWENTY ONE
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 14, 2007 8:45 PM
Only yesterday it seems to Maggie that she was 21; but
now she is old and confused, and finds it so hard to go on.
She is no longer able to walk unaided; she just dreams in the corner
propped up and ignored; turning the years back in her mind when she is bored;
refusing to talk, as she stares vacantly back through the years to when she was 21.
Every day is much the same; her hair is brushed and her face is washed,
then like some childish game, she is propped up in the corner out of the way,
where she remains forgotten for the rest of the day; a tear wet upon her cheek that nobody sees;
a look of defeat in her eyes; pale and meak, she searches for a reason to go on -
suddenly reaching a decision back through the years to when she was 21.
She is discussed as if she is not there - as though she is a problem that must be solved:
'She doesn't eat much!' they declare. 'But when we have visitors she's always there.'
Is she senile, confused or simply afraid?
Or has she her welcome outstayed? Maggie's only real worry is to decide whether or not
to go on, or to drift back through the years to when she was 21.
Minds are made up, decisions have been made;
everything is arranged, poor Maggie's been betrayed.
Into a home she must go in some quaint sea-side town,
replacing her sweet smile with a sorrowful frown.
Her cries pass by unheard, as though no one had ever cared.
But at the dawn on the turning of the tide,
old Maggie in sadness died.
No reason could she find to go on,
so she slipped quietly back through the years to when she was 21
THE PORCELAIN FIGURE
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 14, 2007 8:35 PM
Placed out of sight on a dusty shelf,
Hidden in the gloom without honour,
Stands an old porcelain figure
With the gentle face of the Madonna.
She had once stood in a place of pride,
On the mantel watching over all;
Now she stands out of sight on a dusty shelf
Because she did not answer a sorrowful call.
So now the dusty porcelain figure
Stands to remind us all,
How like our minds is the dusty shelf
Where we place God until we call
A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME IS A LIFETIME TO ONE WHO IS LONELY
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 14, 2007 8:25 PM
How many people do you know
Who sit all day without a friend?
They never grumble, and they never seem to moan,
But they're always glad to see the day end.
How many times have you given it some thought,
That it would be nice if you could only
Give a moment of your time
To one who is lonely?
How many times have you wanted so much
To give someone a helping hand?
But with so much to do, and very little time,
You just knew they would understand.
They always appear so happy,
And there's nothing they can't seem to do,
But the smile they wear when you meet them,
Is the smile they wear just for you.
Milk still standing on the step,
And callers get no reply;
All because that person
Would never let you see them cry.
So, when in doubt, don't just think
and whisper, 'Oh, if only...'
Because, a moment of your time
Is a lifetime to one who is lonely
MATHEMATICAL MENTAL TEASER
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 14, 2007 8:03 PM
The following mathematical mental teaser swept the country some years ago. Try to work it out in your mind without writing down. The answer is nearly always the same. I'll tell you what it is on the following blog.
Think of a number between one and ten. Multiply it by nine, Add the digits so that you get a single number. Take away five. Now, taking A as One, B as Two, C as Three, etc, work out the letter that corresponds to your new number. Think of a country beginning with that letter. Now select an animal beginning with the second letter of your country? What colour is your animal?
Check the next blog after you have done the teaser. No cheating now!
THE LAW OF KARMA = THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT

To think that we are the architects of our own destinies is quite a frightening prospect, especially when we are then informed that we create our own future lives by the way that we think. This is primarily a Buddhist concept, but I believe it is as true today as it was when it was first conceived hundreds of years ago. We certainly do creat most of our own problems, and it seems to me to be those with a certain attitude to life who are ultimately the most successful. 'You will worry yourself into an early grave!' My mother used to say to my father, and whether she was right or not he was only 66 when he died. And so, it makes sense that if the mind is able to put you in an early grave, then it can surely prolong your life and free you of illness. There is an ancient and very wise precept: 'Thoughts crystallise into habit, and habit solidifies into circumstances. You are always willing to change your circumstances, but very rarely willing to change yourself and the way you think.'
Isn't it true that the mind has great potential? In fact, everything takes place in our minds, and the power of our minds can set us free.
There is a Buddhist precept: 'You don't get what you want - you get who you are!' In other words, we attract to ourselves people and situations that harmonise with the way we think.
It makes sense to me, what about you? Let me know.
LET'S SEE HOW PSYCHIC YOU REALLY ARE
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 9, 2007 1:05 PM
PUT YOUR PSYCHIC AND INTUITIVE SKILLS TO THE TEST::
1) Do you ever sense that the telephone is going to ring, and it does?
2 Do you sometimes know what your partner is going to say just before they speak?
3 Do you ever have strong feelings about something that is going to happen, and it does?
4 Have you ever been alone in the house and suddenly felt as though someone is watching you, or standing behind yoy?
5) Have you ever felt uncomfortable while sitting alone in a theatre or waiting in a bus queue, and when you looked over your shoulder someone was staring at you?
6) Do you ever dream about specific things or situations which later happen?
7) Do you ever see pinpoints of bright light around people's heads, or pinpoints of colour floating in the air?
8) Have you ever seen a coloured mist around people or animals?
9) Have you ever thought you have seen a shadowy figure out of the corner of your eye whilst you were sitting alone?
10) Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt for certain that you know them from somewhere, although you don't?
11 Have you ever walked into a house for the first time and immediately been overwhelmed by its warmth, coldness, happiness or sadness?
12) When you are drifting into sleep do you ever hear someone call your name?
13) Have you ever been overwhelmed by a fragrance that no one else can smell, and which reminds you of a 'dead' relative or friend?
14) Have you ever handled a piece of antique jewellery and found pictures and impressions passing through your mind?
15) Have strong feeling ever forewarned you not to go to a certain place or do a particular thing?
16) Have you ever had bad feelings about someone whom everyone else likes, only to find out that you were right and they were wrong?
17) When someone is unwell do you ever feel compelled to place your hands on them in an attempt to make them better?
18) Have you ever seen the patterns on curtains or carpets change into faces?
19) Have you ever been overwhelmed with the feeling that a relative or friend, living on the other side of the world, has had an accident, and you later learned that they had?
20) Have you ever felt compelled to write a poem or piece of philosophical writing which, on later examination, appears completely alien to the way you think?
It is quite common to have experienced two or perhaps three of the things listed above. However, to have experienced six or seven of them shows that you have a fairly rudimentary psychic skill which could be developed further. If you can answer 'YES' to ten, or even all the things listed, you most certainly do have a psychic/intuitive skill.
COPING WITH ANXIETY AND THE MONKEY ON YOUR SHOULDER
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 9, 2007 12:20 PM
Adrenalin is produced to help us to deal with a threatening situation - or the 'Fear and flight' syndrome. However, some people have great difficulty in coping with stress and their levels of adrenalin become far too high for them to control, that the result is PANIC ATTACK. Once the body becomes accustomed to releasing adrenalin when you are faced with even a minor stressful situation, your anxiety becomes irrational and out of control and your body becomes so sensitised to feeling that you will find yourself panicking when faced with even the smallest problem. NOT GOOD! Anxiety is the illness of the modern age and ruins millions of lives. Learning to control your levels of adrenalin will not only help you to cope when under pressure, but will also improve the overall performance of your mind. If you are someone who panics for virtually no reason at all, let's consider the simple everyday things around you that can raise your levels of Adrenalin and as a consequence make you PANIC. Working under florescent lighting triggers panic in some people. Coffee and tea stimulate the adrenals. Offensive people in the workplace, change your job. Your daily routine may be completely wrong and may need readjusting. Sugar and white flour products impair the mind's overall efficiency. Alcohol - well, that's alright. Simple exercise when you are stressed.
When you are stressed your heartbeat increases and your breathing becomes fast and shallow shallow.
SIT QUIETLY ON THE OFFICE CHAIR. BREATHE RHYTHMICALLY UNTIL THE RHYTHM IS FULLY ESTABLISHED IN YOUR MIND. EVERYONE'S BREATHING CAPACITY IS DIFFERENT: WE BASE THE RHYTHMIC TIME OF OUR BREATHING ON A UNIT CORRESPONDING WITH THE BEAT OF THE HEART.
THE UNITS OF INHALATION AND EXHALATION SHOULD ALWAYS BE THE SAME; WHILST THE UNITS OF RETENTION AND BETWEEN BREATHS SHOULD IN FACT BE ONE HALF THE NUMBER OF INHALATION AND EXHALATION. COMPLICATED? GOOD!
PLACE YOUR FINGERS ON YOUR PULSE AND ASCERTAIN YOUR NORMAL HEARTBEAT, AND COUNT WITH EACH HEARTBEAT, 1,2,3,4,5,6 UP TO SIX.
WHEN YOU HAVE THE RHYTHM FULLY IN YOUR MIND, CLOSE YOUR EYES, AND THEN BREATHE IN TO THE COUNT OF SIX HEARTBEATS, HOLD IT FOR THREE HEARTBEATS, AND THEN EXHALE TO THE COUNT OF SIX HEARTBEATS, AND SO ON. REPEAT THIS PROCESS OVER AND OVER FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES, LONGER IF THE BOSS WILL ALLOW.
Remember, the restless monkey is on you shoulder for a good reason, don't get rid of it completely, just make sure you control the monkey and the monkey does not control you. Look what happened to me!
HOW PSYCHIC ARE YOU?
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 9, 2007 11:06 AM
Have you ever considered the possibility that you are psychic? Every one has a rudimentary form of psychic skill, but the majority of people just do not use it. It's typical that most people will accept the existence of 'Intuition,' but dismiss the very often fanciful and 'far-fetched' notion of being 'Psychic.' Even the sceptic will frequently boast that he or she is 'Intuitive', but when the suggestion of any psychic ability is made - well, that's different!
Intuition is an umbrella term that in fact covers a broad spectrum of mental skills. Being psychic simply means possessing a heightened state of sensory perception - or, intuition at a higher level. It is possible to cultivate the powers of the mind to make it more efficient, just as one would train the body in the gym to develop its strength and power.
The more you exercise your intuition, the more accurately efficient it will become.
The process of cultivating the powers of the mind, is purely holistic, and in the development of intuition all the senses must be considered.
Try the following mental exercise. Practise makes perfect, and encourages efficiency of the minds performance.
26 letters in the alphabet: without writing them down, begin by reciting them in the following way: A and then Z: B and then Y: C and then X: D and then W: E and then V, and so on.
So, start at the beginning and the end of the alphabet and recite your way to the middle, as quickly as you can, concluding the exercise with L and M. It will probably take you some time to get the gist of the exercise, but when you have fully mastered it you will find that your memory and concentration will be more efficient.
As well as impairing the quality of your health, working in an open-plan office environment under florescent lights with no windows greatly affects both the memory and concentration.
Watch this space for exercises to help imrpove your mental performance.
PSYCHIC EXPERIENCES
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 6, 2007 1:26 PM
Apart from working as a professional Stage Psychic/Medium, one of my interests is to hear of other peoples' psychic experiences, and perhaps anything 'paranormal' that has happened to them. Everyone has a story to tell, whether it is to do with the house you live in, your child 'seeing' a dead relative they could not have known, or maybe you think you are psychic and wonder what to do about it. I am interested to hear your stories, or perhaps you would like to ask me a particular question about the paranormal, mediums or even healers.
Remember, everyone has a story to tell about something of a paranormal nature. Do you believe in ghosts? Have you ever seen a ghost? Have you ever been to see a medium or a psychic? Tell me about it.
I am particularly interested to hear your true 'GHOST STORIES' to be included in a future book.
Post your questions or stories to me, you've got nothing whatsoever to lose!
WHERE IS THE SPIRIT WORLD?
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 3, 2007 11:20 AM
A question that is frequently asked during my lectures and workshops is 'Where exactly is the Spirit World?' Strictly speaking the Spirit World is not a place, and so there really is no simple answer to this question. However, working on the premise that there is an after life, then one must presume that we do go somewhere when we die. The question is, WHERE?
The spirit in man, which is the highest manifestation of his soul, is a mere drop in the ocean of spirit; apparently separate and distinct, but at all times in touch with the ocean itself and with every other drop in it.
Furthermore, from a physicist's point of view it is a fallacy that anything can ever be killed or annihilated. There is no such actual state as death! There is only change, transmutation, growth, becoming a movement of matter or of consciousness from one condition to another. Nothing can ever die. But, in saying this nothing in the world of form is permanent.
It is an axiom of physics that no two bodies of matter can occupy the same space at the same time. But millions of vibrations can exist in the one space without interfering with each other.
We live in a multi-dimensional universe, in which there are worlds within worlds, each rising in a gradually ascending vibratory scale; from those which touch and blend with the highest planes of the physical world, to those which gradually merge with the lowest planes of the Spirit World. And so, the Spirit World is not a place! It has nothing whatsoever to do with places, and has no particular geographical location in the universe. The Spirit World orbits within and around the physical atom, without in anyway interfering with that atom. To all intense purposes it interpenetrates the physical world, and so is therefore all around us. The inhabitants of the Spirit World walk through and around us all the time, very often unaware of our presence, just as we are unaware of theirs. The Spirit World is said to be somewhat luminous, surreal and full of movement, but in a puzzling, indescribable way. It is more a condition or state of being than it is a place. There are no alternating periods of night and day, and each of its inhabitants are controlled by 'Habit'. Once one passes into the Spirit World, cravings and addictions remain an integral part of the character, at least until they are fully eradicated. Habits temporarily prevent the soul's progression, and for the time being at least, it is forced to sojourn in the lower vibratory planes very close to the earth from whence it came. However, all these imperfections are transitory and impermanent, and once the soul has learned to master its addictions, cravings and habits, whatever they are, it is then allowed to move on to the higher planes - the Land of the Gods.
YOUR LOVED ONES DO NOT DIE - THEY SIMPLY MOVE TO A DIFFERENT PLACE IN YOUR HEART.
IN THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS
Posted by Billy Roberts on March 2, 2007 10:43 AM
As a result of the discovery of numerous ancient scrolls and parchments, the life and works of Jesus is today being closely examined and the historical figure with which every Christian has grown up, is now being looked at in a completely different light. There is today some controversy about whether or not Jesus was actually married to Mary Magdalene, and whether or not they had at least one child together. Some time in the 1960s I visited Srenagar in Kashmir, and by chance discovered a tomb called the 'ROZABAL' the tomb of the prophet. The inscription on the tomb read: 'HERE LIES THE BODY OF YUZ ASAPH, KNOWN TO MANY AS JESUS'. This fascinated me and inspired me to want to know more.
As a result of my visit to Srenagar I have spent more or less thirty years researching the prophet Yuz Asaph, and the material I have collected has culminated into a book I have written entitled IN THE SHADOW OF THE CROSS.
There is quite a lot of evidence to suggest that Jesus survived the crucifixion and was delivered to a tomb owned by his uncle Joseph of Arimathea. It is quite interesting to note that this tomb was not filled with earth, as is Judaic custom, but simply had a stone placed over the entrance.
The evidence suggests that once Jesus had recovered from his ordeal, he travelled incognito using the name Yuz Asaph. 'Yuz' is taken from the Hebrew Yusu meaning 'Jesus', and Asaph is the Arabic for 'the gatherer' - one who was to gather the lost tribes of Israel.
Accompanied by Mary Magdalene, his mother and other devotees, Yuz Asaph allegedly travelled to many countries throughout the east. Archaelogical and historical evidence has shown that Yuz Asaph most definitely visited India, Persia and Tibet. In one particular Tibetan monastery there are parchments containing writings which bear the hallmark of the teachings of Jesus, and it is also widely known throughout the east that Jesus travelled far and wide after the crucifixion.
Although Jesus' mother simply 'disappears' in the bible and is not mentioned from then on, there is evidence that she died on the border of Pakistan in a place that used to be known as 'MARI', named after Mary. Today it is called MAI MARI DA ASTHAN, meaning 'The Resting Place of Mother Mary', and her tomb is visited by pilgrims from all over the world.
Jesus' entrance inro Kashmir can be historically traced through a valley called YUSU MARGH, the valley of Jesus, which is obviously named after him. Somewhere along the way there is some evidence that he did marry Mary Magdalene and that she bore his child, whom they called Sarah. In fact, although they do not openly accept that Sarah was the daughter of Jesus, she is worshipped as the saint of Romany Gypsies throughout Southern France.
Living in Kashmir today there is a man who claims to be a direct descendant of Jesus. SAHIBZADE BASHARAT SALEEM, has in his possession the genealogical table detailing his ancestry right back to Jesus. He is also known in Kashmir as a man with wonderful healing abilities.
Yuz Asaph is believed to have lived in Kashmir until he died at the ripe old age of 129. Some years ago a tablet of stone was discovered in the tomb, bearing the footprints of Jesus and showing the crucifixion marks. Today Jesus is known throughout Kashmir as St Isana, the white Saint. It is also interesting to note that the Yadu Jews can be found in Srenagar, fair skinned with western features, some of the lost tribes Jesus set out to find.
Although there has been some controversy about the Shroud of Turin, there is some evidence to suggest that this was one of Christianity's greatest cover ups, and that the shroud was really the burial cloth of Jesus. Other research revealed that the Turin Shroud was in actual fact a table cloth - probably the one used at the Last Supper. According to messianic tradition this was the custom. Further more, on closer scrutiny it was revealed that there was in fact a coin placed over each of Jesus' eye, dated at more or less the time of the crucifixion.
Another interesting point was the reference made to the Virgin birth. This in fact was only mentioned very briefly in Mathew and Luke, and is not mentioned anywhere else in the bible. In fact, the story of the Virgin Birth was not apart of the original teachings, but was clearly interjected into the bible by later writers. Great pains are taken in the bible to show the genealogy of Joseph, proving beyond doubt that he was the natural father of Jesus.
