It may come as a surprise to many but apparitions and things that go bump in the night are not always caused by discarnate spirits. Even the ghostly appearance of the lady in white floating gracefully down the staircase, or the mayhem produced by so-called poltergeist activity, may be no more than the result of triboluminescence - the geological phenomenon of friction produced by two crystal deposits. Geological disturbance can precipitate a variety of paranormal phenomena by interrupting the electro-magnetic atmosphere and causing a replay of 'spooky events', rather like playing a DVD of a ghostly movie. All human experience and emotional activity impregnates the atmosphere's 'natural memory bank', rather like data stored on a computer.
